Zach grew up near Weston, Texas.  Being from a small town, he would ride his 4-Wheeler down every "back road" of Celina and Weston when he wasn't in school or on summer break.  Growing up living out in the country he spent a lot of time outdoors just looking for stuff for him and his dog to do.  There wasn’t a lot of kids his age to play with so he had to use his imagination a lot.  Zach still uses his imagination when it comes to song writing because "it's a terrible thing to waste".  Zach's music is influenced by Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Radney Foster, Roger Miller and his dad, WillySteve.  Zach says his father has been his greatest inspiration in life and is his friend, brother, and biggest fan.  "It was just me and my dad when I was growing up and we learned a lot from each other."  Zach loves the outdoors; he enjoys fishing, bow hunting or just walking in the woods alone so he can soak up the natural surroundings.  He also says he owes his soul to his Aunt Lisa, Uncle John, Jon Willis and Justin Boren.

"Hope you enjoy our music like we enjoyed making it." –Zach

Band Trivia

Johnny has swum with sharks, stingrays, and moray eels that were… well as he puts it, “Man look at that eel, that thing is HUGE! I could never eat that much eel… I’m just sayin’ it was big is all.”

Justin will ink you all over.

Zach is the great white hunter.  He never aims at anything that has a chance to live.

J. Town is frequently seen being chauffeured around in a Cadillac hearse.

J. "Town" was born and raised in Oak Cliff, Texas.  He learned to play piano before he could ride a bicycle.  "My parents were both teachers and musicians.  I could always get them to buy me new gear."  When he was 13 his big brother taught him some licks on the bass and all the chords on the guitar.  In high school, Town formed his own "Rap" band, and at age 19 he was performing live in Deep Ellum with a heavy metal/punk band.  Town’s major influences are the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and the King of them all, Elvis Presley.  Town met his wife Lisa in 2000.  "She is my sunlight and my shadow.  Looking forward or looking back, she’s always there.  I know I never have to look down."

The band "Twisted Pistols" started working together in the winter of '06.  After a few years of  growing and changing they have evolved into the four piece band you know today that belts out the true meaning of "Texas Music!"  Twisted Pistols apply their own style of music into a combination of rock & country which Zach calls "Grunge Country".  With songs written from their own true life stories, they are gaining quite a following in the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma area. They also play down in the South Texas and West Texas area often.  Don't miss them, you will be impressed by their ability to put songs together which you will identify with!

Johnny is a self-taught guitarist who was born and raised down in southeast Texas.

He grew up with Hank Sr., Patsy Cline, Bob Wills, Willie, and so on…

Although his father tried to teach him when he was very young, he didn’t pick up the guitar till he was 16. A year after, he had his first band. His influences are too numerous to mention, but he’s partial to Stevie Ray. "I’m attracted to great songwriting, that is why I wanted to join this band, after all, Jack Ingram, Robert Earle, Cross Canadian, Reckless Kelly and Joe Ely already had their guitarists."
